Family Portrait Series uses photography to present the un-photographed moments of the military family from the perspective of "home". These images speak of trauma, separation, and what home and family means for veterans who often feel isolated. It examines generational trauma and the demons that follows one home from war. It is also a plea for connection and understanding as willingness to hear hard story – as these are the salves that sooth the wounds we work to heal, and our best chance at winning the war still being found inside our own minds, bodies, and souls.
